This review summarizes Asthma biologics as a new class of medications used to treat severe asthma. These drugs target specific molecules in the body that play a role in asthma symptoms. Biologic medications are derived from living sources, such as human cells, and are designed to reduce the inflammation and allergic responses that contribute to asthma attacks. They are typically given as injections or infusions and are used in conjunction with other asthma medications. Traditional asthma medications, such as corticosteroids and bronchodilators, are still used to manage symptoms. These medications work by reducing inflammation and opening up the airways, respectively, but they may not be as effective for people with severe asthma, which is where biologics come in.

A & T Respiratory Lectures has developed a series of easily accessible and affordable educational courses focused on various topics in asthma care. The course content is designed and presented by experts in the field.
